Sugar is a Perth-born artist currently based in Melbourne who has been passionate about drawing Alex Sugar is well-known for his realism in painting native flora and fauna in conjunction with objects that consider the concept of time and place. He draws these elements together with a slightly surreal twist, lending to his distinctive style.

Having showcased his work through a number of group and solo exhibitions throughout Australia and internationally, Alex Sugar has also completed a number of large-scale commissioned public art works.
